Florida 2015 - Day 7 - Last day at Magic Kingdom

Saturday, May 23, 2015

Our last day at Magic Kingdom was chock full of cramming all the things that we had missed in the other days like meeting Anna, Elsa and "Yellow Dress" Belle. :)

The line to meet Anna and Elsa was BY FAR the longest that we waited in the entire trip :)

After meeting Anna and Elsa we made another stop at the Carousel. This may have been Claire's favorite ride. The girls would have ridden over and over again had we let them!

After the carousel we headed over to Belle's Storytime. Disney was brilliant to put this attraction in! It is an awesome attraction! It really gives awesome time with Belle!

After story time we headed back to the Beast's castle for lunch!

We tried the gray stuff and it was delicious!

The first few days the Little Mermaid ride was shut down but it opened back up on our last day!

Meeting Daisy...

Donald...

Goofy...

Minnie! I tried so hard to find a red dress Minnie to take a picture with the girls but I never did...

This Mickey talks!!

One few more rides on Splash Mountain and and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad it was time to watch the fireworks off of the Castle and then head back to the hotel.

It truly was a magical trip! I can't wait to take the girls to Disneyland in a year or two!

Florida 2015 - Day's 5 and 6 - Rest Day and SeaWorld

Friday, May 22, 2015

Day 5 was a hotel switch day / rest day.

Mid day we went to Downtown Disney to eat lunch at the Rainforest Cafe and play at the Lego store. The best thing I did this day was pick up some duplos for the girls to play with when we got back to the hotel! This kept them entertained for the rest of the afternoon so that Brian and I could really rest/nap!

Day 6 was SeaWorld

To be honest, I had really mixed feelings about going to SeaWorld. I just wasn't sure how I felt about the whales being in captivity... (At that point I hadn't really looked into it at all.) It's really hard to sort out the information that is online. However the Military gets to go to SeaWorld for free so we went :)

After being at Disney and Legoland, SeaWorld felt a little lame honestly... They did have 2 roller coasters which were really fun for Brian and I though! The situation wasn't helped when I saw a ROACH in the restaurant we ate lunch... ICK!!!

 Then SeaWorld redeemed itself...
We went to the Shamu show and the reactions from Kenley were truly amazing!
(I may have teared up watching her reactions to seeing whales for the first time)

(These are stills that I took from the videos Brian took of the girls reactions) :)

We went back for the last Shamu show before the park closed and this time we sat in the splash zone! It had been raining all day so we were already wet! Why not get splashed by a whale! :)

In case you are wondering, after our visit to SeaWorld, I became mildly obsessed with whale captivity. It frustrated me that I couldn't figure out where I stand on the issue and it was also frustrating that most of the information online comes from PETA. I watched COUNTLESS Youtube videos and read tons of articles on the whales that are currently in captivity...

If you are curious as to my conclusion on the whale captivity issue feel free to email me! I could go on and on and on about it :)

Florida 2015 - Day 4 - Hollywood Studios

Thursday, May 21, 2015

Day 4 we headed to Hollywood Studios!

The girls each made a pressed penny at the Frozen souvenir shop!
(AKA how to get out of that shop without spending $50) :)

We loved the Beauty and the Beast show of course!

Next we headed over to ride the Tower of Terror. It was probably our longest wait line for a ride of the trip. We didn't really think it was all that fun. The girls weren't fans of the Twilight Zone stuff. It was a bit too scary for them at this age.

We got to meet Sofia the First!

and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates!

Both Brian and I's favorite ride was the Aerosmith Rockin' Roller Coaster! So fun! And so awesome that they have a single rider line!

If you can get a reaction from Brian that must mean its good! :)

The carriage from the new Cinderella movie was at Hollywood Studios so of course we had to take pictures of our Cinderella in front of it!

We also had to get pictures with Gramma Ronk's favorite characters!

After "meeting" Lightning McQueen and Mater we went to the Frozen Sing-a-long show... This sounds like every parents nightmare... But the show was actually awesome! The hosts were absolutely hilarious and it was so fun and funny for the grown-ups and the kids were happy to see Anna and Elsa and be able to belt out every word to every song in Frozen. :)

After the Frozen Sing-a-long we headed back over to the Magic Kingdom to squeeze in a few more rides before the park closed!

This was the night that we watched the electrical parade. Cinderella looked and waved directly at Kenley. The look of awe on Kenley's face was another one of the absolute highlights of our trip!

This picture on Splash Mountain is my favorite and sums up our family pretty well! :)

Two very asleep little girls on the trek back to the car :)
