For our last Sensory Art Class we did a Favorites theme!
AKA use up all of Miss Keri's supplies ;)

At this table we had Koolaid Watercolors resist bookmarks, watercoloring leftover paper leaves, drip painting, seashell painting, snowflake drip painting..

Spin Art of course!

Sensory Snow with a T-Rex skeleton thrown in for good measure...

At the Play doh station I set out supplies to make colorful play doh birds.
I set out lots of colors of play doh, google eyes, sequins, and feathers...

We had a second play doh table with our Play doh color wheel charts...

 The Water bead pool...

I absolutely loved leading this Sensory Art class but in the end it just took away too much time from actually doing school with the girls so I decided not to continue it after this session. We sure had a lot of fun though! Who knows maybe I will have to bring back Craftivity Camp! :)

Sensory Art Class #12 Christmas Tree

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Since we are in the month of December and just a few weeks away from Christmas I wanted to do a Christmas theme but I wanted to leave out good ol' St. Nick. I decided that focusing on the Tree would work best for our sensory projects!

Before Art Class, I glued together popsicle sticks in a triangle tree frame shape and added some wooden stars. At Art class the children we able to paint the popsicle stick ornaments and add sequins and glitter glue. My hope was that once home the parents could add a picture of the child to the tree frame and then hang it on their Christmas tree...

Tree Smoosh Painting... At this station we had big folded paper triangles precut so all the kids needed to do was open up the fold squirt some paint on and then close up the paper to smoosh the paint around. Then while the paint was wet they could stick on some paper circles for ornaments! (The circles were left over from Class #3 Dots!)

Sensory Snow with Bottle Brush Trees, Styrofoam snowballs, and some friendly Polar Bears...

At the Play doh station we had green play doh, sequins, and wooden stars...

A few of our finished projects...

Since we only had 1 week of Sensory Art class left after this week, I packaged up some of our leftover supplies as Stocking Stuffers for the parents to purchase and take the fun of Sensory Art Class home with them!

Sensory Art Class #11 Beach Vacation

Tuesday, December 5, 2017

Last week it was cold so this week we went on a Beach Vacation!

Sand and Shells sensory bin...

Blue Jello and Marine Mammals Small World...

 Painting Seashells...

 Sandcastle and Seashells Play doh...

Ocean Scrape Painting...

We added dots of paint colors on one side of the paper, starting with white, then blue (or color of the Childs choosing), then black. The kids used cardboard scraps to pull the paint across the paper...

When we bought the girls paddle boards last summer I knew I had to save the cardboard for this very project! Collaborative Surfboard Painting!

Cleaned out veggie trays from Safeway make great paint holders...

I missed getting a picture of our snow sensory bin but I purchased a big tub of instant snow at Hobby Lobby. It was a huge hit with the kiddos and I used it again in the following weeks for our Tree theme and Favorites theme!
