Sensory Art Class #12 Christmas Tree

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Since we are in the month of December and just a few weeks away from Christmas I wanted to do a Christmas theme but I wanted to leave out good ol' St. Nick. I decided that focusing on the Tree would work best for our sensory projects!

Before Art Class, I glued together popsicle sticks in a triangle tree frame shape and added some wooden stars. At Art class the children we able to paint the popsicle stick ornaments and add sequins and glitter glue. My hope was that once home the parents could add a picture of the child to the tree frame and then hang it on their Christmas tree...

Tree Smoosh Painting... At this station we had big folded paper triangles precut so all the kids needed to do was open up the fold squirt some paint on and then close up the paper to smoosh the paint around. Then while the paint was wet they could stick on some paper circles for ornaments! (The circles were left over from Class #3 Dots!)

Sensory Snow with Bottle Brush Trees, Styrofoam snowballs, and some friendly Polar Bears...

At the Play doh station we had green play doh, sequins, and wooden stars...

A few of our finished projects...

Since we only had 1 week of Sensory Art class left after this week, I packaged up some of our leftover supplies as Stocking Stuffers for the parents to purchase and take the fun of Sensory Art Class home with them!
