September Goals

Holy Cow! Where did the summer go? Is it really almost fall? Only 15 more days until our 5 year wedding anniversary?!?!?

August Goals

- Read Ephesians everyday- Success! I had to read by candle light one day due to the hurricane and it made me very thankful for the conveniences of this modern world such as electricity and iPhones! We as Christians in America have it so easy! How amazing is it that when I want to read the Bible, I can just pull out my phone and have access to multiple translations!
- Keep Making the Bed- Let's be honest, with Brian being away I was a slacker!
- Order Prints for Living Room Photo Wall- Total Fail! I need to do this! We have lived here for a year!
- Go to Children's Museum Once- Yay! I love the Children's museum!
- Make Hairbows for The Ethiopia Project- Fail! I just ran out of time before we left for our trip, I need to get on this ASAP!
- Go to North Carolina! Yay!
- Love on Baby Job Lugg! Yay! I will post pictures tomorrow of Sweet Baby Job!
- Eat at Baker's Square! Yay! We went twice! I would have loved to have gone once more with Kelly and Emma but Hurricane Irene had other plans for us.
- Soak in as much time with our NC Friends as possible! Yay! I am so glad to be home and not living out of a suit case, but now I miss my friends! God has blessed us with such amazing friends! I am sad that we don't get to see them multiple times a week anymore, but I am so thankful that they are still in our lives! Even if its just through Skype and random texts! :)

September Goals

- Read the book of 1 Thessalonians everyday
- Wake up AND get out of bed before 7:30 on weekdays
- Read at least 1 chapter of Psalms to Kenley during breakfast on weekdays
- Pray with Kenley before all of her meals (We do dinner, but rarely breakfast or lunch)
- Drink fresh green juice every weekday morning (My current combo is Romaine, Beet, Lemon, Apple)
- Wash juicer immediately after making/drinking juice!!
- Try to follow The Raw Food Detox Diet- I read this book right before we left for NC and I fully believe that with my history of intestinal problems, this is the way that I need to be eating. I definitely recommend that you read this book!
- Get back on the cloth diaper bandwagon
- Make homemade laundry detergent... I haven't done this since we have lived in Washington.. Shame Shame!
- Order pictures for the picture wall!! Seriously this time!
- Exercise at least 4x per week! - I finished all 30 days of the Shred right before we left for NC and I was feeling great! Then in NC I didn't do anything other than 1 Turbo Kick class with my friend Christy. I could definitely tell a difference in my moods from working out to no working out! I would love to start doing Turbo Kick classes regularly but I can't find a place here so I think I will continue with the workout DVD route for now.
- Do something really fun to celebrate 5 years of marriage to an amazing man!

What are your goals for September?

Turbo kick sounds like fun! I miss the classes on base down in San Diego, I do some of them on base in Everett but they just aren't as good :[

So glad your back, safe and sound and that you had a great time!
You might try the Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie for a super fancy dinner date for your anniversary.
(BTW - congratulations!!)
I loved reading your goal list. I think I'm too chicken to post mine...FAIL! ;-)

Emily, I didn't even know that they had classes at the base in Everett! I will have to check that out!

Carol, Thanks for the tip about Salish! Apparently Brian has a super secret date already planned out for us! :)

So glad that you made some awesome sweet potatoes - your comment was a HOOT! Thanks!

How great that you have monthly goals. That's what I finally had to do to get my laundry put away each week...make it a goal. That habit did finally stick, thankfully. I was tired of having all my laundry in baskets in the living room.

Have you seen any of my blogs or notes on the homemade laundry soap that I made? I'm LOVING it!

I'm totally going to copy what you said to me last year, "Yay for goals! Let's get stuff done!"

(I'm posting my blog on September goals at http://nerdinessembraced.blogspot.com now!)
