Christmas 2013

Christmas came and went so quickly that I would barely believe it happened if it weren't for all the extra toys filling up the floor of my living room!

Christmas Eve is always spent with my Mom's side of the family and this is the only picture I ended up taking that night! My girls and their sweet 91 year old Great Grandfather! He still lives by himself and is in excellent health! I sure hope that the girls and I inherit those genes!

Christmas Morning

We intentionally tried to tone down Christmas gifts this year. Last year I went overboard as did my mom and mother-in-law so the girls were drowning in gifts and started to get cranky with having to open more gifts when they just wanted to play with that they opened first. It is tough to be a spoiled kid. haha.

This year was so much better! I am excited for next year to because I think that Kenley will be at a more teachable age for teaching about giving to others and giving to people less fortunate rather than just wanting things for ourselves.

Earlier in December we took the girls to see Frozen and they loved it! Kenley really wanted an Elsa doll. Her reaction when she opened it was so great!

Her hair is blocking it but she is pretty much making the exact face that both Kimbe and I are making. Haha!

After opening up presents at our house and then at my parents house we headed over to Amy's house to celebrate with Brian's family.

I made Planes Crayons for the boys.... 10 minutes before we were about to leave I dropped Nate's and they all broke... Aunt fail... LOL. I plan to do a tutorial on how I made these soon because I think they are super adorable! (and that way I can restock for Nate) :)

These are the only 2 pictures I have on my camera from that night. Amy hopefully took more!

Kenley made a Christmas Card to our family. I LOVE how she adds our monograms to everything, totally my child! :)

My Anna and My Elsa

We ended the night with some amazing homemade egg nog that was gifted to us. I don't even like egg nog and I LOVED this! I definitely need to get that recipe for next year!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

I was able to teach Hunter more about giving this year for the first time and it was amazing!!! We were able to provide a Thanksgiving meal to a family that couldn't afford it and Hunter and I delivered it, and then he made homemade presents for Kylee and Daddy and bought a matchbox car from his paycheck for Gunnar. I loved seeing his face of excitement as they each opened their gift. It was amazing!!!
