Ugh.. What a day!

I took Kenley in for another weight check today. I was SURE that she would be 13 pounds... No such luck. The little stink lost 3 ounces again...

I will be honest... Today I feel very defeated. I just don't know what to do about her weight. Please pray for us. Specifically for Kenley to gain weight and for me to have a good attitude and have the wisdom to know what to do for her. :)

After Kenley's weight check we made a little pit stop at the Urgent Care Clinic for me. Turns out that I have a concussion :(.

(I wasn't planning on telling you all about how stupid and clumsy I am, but since I am telling you about the concussion I might as well tell you how I got it.)

Kenley and I stayed home from church on Sunday morning because she had a fever the night before and I didn't want her getting other babies in the nursery sick if she had a cold. She didn't, it was just teething. Anyways I was trying to get a few more of our projects done so I opened up the garage to go get some paint but I didn't open it all the way... just above my eye level so that I had to duck to go in....

A few hours later I go to get something else from the garage and completely walked smack into the garage door... HARD! First I checked to make sure that none of the neighbors were outside... then I grabbed my head in pain.

So yeah... I have a concussion and I can not get my kid to gain weight... That's my life right now... :)

Keri I am so sorry, what a frustrating day. I have been talking to some of the moms at the elementary school about Kenley. They all shared stories of having similar weight problems. She looks pretty perfect to me! I will be praying for your head as well.

You are all being prayed for here, as well. The Lord has it all in His Hands, even if it wears us down and we don't understand any of it.

Oh Keri, I am so very sorry you are experiencing these trials!

Remember what James 1:2-4 says: My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

And Joshua 1:8-9: This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

I hope and pray that this weekend will be much better for you!

Aw, Keri, I had missed this post while we were in Canada. I'm so sorry. :( But I'm so glad she's getting plump now. :) She really is so cute! I love the faces when she's on the scale - I wonder what she's thinking. :)
