What I'm Reading Right Now
Wednesday, November 7, 2012
Saturday, the day after the Ball, we took the girls to Disney on Ice!
The Tangled part was the best!
I have about 100 pictures almost exactly like this one taken by Kenley at the thrift store the other day....
My sweet girls waiting for me to try on some skirts at the thrift store! I'm pretty sure this picture was taken 3 minutes before the melt downs that had me rushing them home for naps!
Ugh. I am sick of {me eating} candy. I need to get this stuff out of my house!
We voted! Looks like "We The People" have 4 years to read and study the constitution. Let's get on that! It is going to be a goal of mine to read through the whole constitution and try to understand it more!
Last night we went on a double date with the Peters to Wicked! It was awesome!
Her special "sleeping bed" at Grandma and Grandpas
Crafting with the Silhouette. I love that thing!
The kiddos today after Preschool. Silly kids. I'm pretty sure Kenley started the paci thing since none of the other kids really know what to do with them!
Today, I taught day 6 of Creation (and the letter F). We have been doing this craft as a visual for the kiddos. Since I couldn't find Adam and Eve stickers I had to improvise. It makes me laugh every time I see it!
{Also making my laugh today is how many times I said "____ is an F word"}
The Hubs surprised me with flowers the other night! Husband for the win!
I'm sorry.... but it is too early for the red cups. Also......People, PLEASE.... It is too early for Christmas music! I have already heard Santa Baby at least 3 times in stores.... that is 3 times too many!!!!!!!
I found about 40 pictures similar to these on my phone the other day! They all crack me up!
Kenley and Gumpa!
So they should have been sleeping...
But... How cute are those sweet hugs!?!!
Hope you are having a great Wednesday!

I'm was a bit stumped with what to make for dinners this week... With the weather being so cool I have been wanting soups all the time, the problem with soups is that they are hard for the girls to eat without making a huge mess! Thursday I am trying my friend Emma's BBQ Chili, I plan to make it vegetarian by adding 2 extra cans of beans instead of the ground beef!
Monday- Leftover Lasagna Soup
Tuesday- Out to Dinner with Friends!
Wednesday- Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken Tacos
Thursday- Slow Cooker BBQ Chili w/ Sweet Potatoes
Friday- Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, and Peas
What are you making this week? Are you feeling stumped with your meal plans like I am?

This was our first year taking the girls trick or treating and it was so much fun! Our friend's the Peters invited us over for dinner and then trick or treating afterward.
I wasn't able to get many pictures that weren't blurry! The kiddos were on the move constantly and they hadn't even had any candy yet!
Hugging the Peter's 130 pound pumpkin!
Waiting at the first house!
Hey! We know this house!!
I am bummed that this picture is so blurry but you can still totally see the joy on Kenley and Gracen's faces! I just love it!
We can't wait to go Trick or Treating with the Peters again next year!

Our Ball was last night! This year the ball was at held at the Lynnwood Convention Center. The Hubs was in charge of the ceremony and it went pretty well! At least it looked that way from my seat! He also sang the national anthem a capella. I actually forgot that he was going to be singing it so when he started singing I was totally startled and looked around to check where he was!
My camera battery died before I could take any pictures so I only snapped a few iPhone shots, I think the pictures of the ball taken by a midshipman in the unit will be posted online sometime though and I will try to link to it so that you can see what a Ball is like!
After getting ready at our hotel...
After dinner/ mid- dancing time. Guess what? I danced... Yep. I promised the Man that I would this year so I had to oblige! I felt like a dork and also a little bit like we had crashed a prom (I forget how young the college kids are!) but it was fun! Next year I will have to listen to some current music or watch some MTV a few weeks before the ball so that I know some songs! :)
They certainly didn't play any Mumford & Sons or any Disney Princess music :)
They had some vintage posters displayed in the lobby and they were so cool! If we ever have a boy child he will totally have this hanging in his room!
Oh, and someone called me Ma'am.... twice.... Um what? She was young and also called Brian Sir... Maybe it was because he was active duty in uniform? BUT STILL.... Am I that old? Last night made me feel old... I didn't even get the stamp on my hand for being 21... so that must mean that I look old now?? Weird!

{Surgery Update: If you were wondering, I still do not have a surgery date. I called the Dr's office and they said that it can take up to 4 weeks for insurance to approve the surgery. I'm assuming that it will take the full four weeks... I will update everyone as soon as I know something!}
Since my only goal in October was to make it through my tonsil surgery, I would say that October was a success! Now that I am feeling better, I am practically itching to get my house and life organized again!
November Goals
- Read the Bible everyday
- Floss teeth everyday
- Wear retainers every night
- Be better about washing my face at night
- Do 1 load of laundry per day
- Be better about packing Brian's breakfasts and lunches, I got out of the habit when all the tonsil stuff happened and I need to be better about this!
- Less fast food! I don't want to say none just in case :) We ate WAY WAY too much fast food this month....
- Go see Wicked!!!!
- Marine Corps Ball!!!!
- Finish Gracen's birthday presents
- Pack up my summer clothes
- Overall be better about not going to bed until the living room/ kitchen is tidied up. Obviously some nights other things will be more important, but I want to get in the habit of a nightly clean up.
- Plan out Advent activities to do with the girls
- Get ready for the crazy month of December! I would like to have the girls presents wrapped and ready!
- Figure out what I am going to get Brian for Christmas and his birthday! I had an idea in mind but then my Dad talked me out of it so now I have to think of something new!
Here's to a productive November!

We thought it would be fun to let the kiddos wear their Halloween costumes to school this week.
We had Tinker Bell, Batman, a Cupcake, and Rapunzel!
I have the cutest nephews!
I will be totally honest. I put zero thought into the girls costumes this year. I just let them wear some dress-up dresses that we had stashed away. I should have tried the dresses on the girls before Halloween because both dresses were too big for the girls!
Find the e in your name!
Learning how the sign for e!
I was the craft mom this week (I really like being the craft mom!)! E is a hard letter to come up with a cute craft for! I saw the idea on Pinterest to use envelopes to form the shape of an E. Since I wanted the E's to fit on a piece of construction paper, I had to use my Silhouette machine to cut out little tiny envelopes!
I let the kiddos color the envelopes and then I glued them to pieces of paper that I had already glued a line on.
The finished product:
I think that they turned out so cute!
I know I say it all the time, but I just love this little preschool! I wish that we could do all of their schooling like this!
PreSchool Field Trip To The Pumpkin Patch
A week ago our little preschool group embarked on our first field trip. Honestly, I don't know what us Mama's were thinking! It was rainy, wet, muddy, and cold. Next year we will definitely go in the beginning of October while it is still dry!
Hayride!
Done with the hayride :)
Corn Bin!

Making Corn Angels!
This picture perfectly describes the trip! The kiddos were just done! Looking back this picture just cracks me up!
Until next year pumpkin patch!!
