Quick Project

Monday, May 3, 2010

I scooped it up this cabinet door for $1 and gave it a quick transformation for a special girls sweet 16 room makeover!

Before:

After:I gave the door a quick spray with Krylon Spray Primer in Gray and then I sprayed around the edges with Krylon Nickel Spray Paint and gave the inset 3 coats of Chalkboard paint.

I am so pleased with how it came out! When its up on the wall you can't even tell that it was once a castoff cabinet door!

Hey Keri, I know this is a late comment on this post, but I have to tell you that I LOVE it. I was at Ikea last week and found 2 beautiful cabinet doors for $2.99 in the "AS IS" section and bought them to make a chalk board and a cork board for David. I still haven't done the projects yet, but I had to tell you that YOU inspired me! :) Now to buy chalkboard paint...
