Everett Children's Museum!

Thursday, April 28, 2011

Last week we went to the Everett Children's museum with April, Gracen, Amy, James, and Nate!

Nate is such a drooler right now! That kid makes the funniest faces I have ever seen!
Did you know that it is super difficult to get a picture of three toddlers sitting happily on a tractor?
This tile wall gets me every time! How is it that the lines can really be straight!?!
We loved the museum so much that we became members! We went again today for a little while and it was great! We are looking forward to spending lots more time there!

Breakfast!

Easter Egg Hunt

It was nearly impossible to get clear shots of Kenley and James because they were running around trying to find the eggs that Gramma had hidden! I was actually pretty surprised how much they got into finding all the eggs. I think they would have been into it even more if the eggs had candy inside of them instead of pieces of paper :) but I am thankful that she didn't get too much candy!

Those white tights and black shoes remind me of Alice in Wonderland.

Action shot of Kenley running for an egg!
Daddy decided to fill 1 egg with a LOT of Jelly beans...
Luckily for us, Kenley just wanted to feed them to everyone else!
James with a BIG mouthful of Jelly beans

Amy has declared that Brenda will be Granny...
and Bob will be Pop Pop!

The chickens are here! What should we name them?

Easter Morning

Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Saturday, my husbands Facebook status read "Only my wife would take two hours out of a Saturday to make home-made Easter baskets for a 4 month old..."
Yep... Its true. Sometimes I think I have a compulsive crafting disorder. Thankfully I have learned to live with it :). I first saw this project on Aunt Peaches. The baskets are quite easy to construct but this is a time consuming project due to drying time of the coffee filters.

Kenley gets purple and Claire gets pink because I always got purple and Kimbe always got pink...
I didn't know what to put into an Easter basket for an almost 21 month old and a 4 month old. Kenley lucked out and got to have the contents of both baskets which contained eggs filled with Annie's Bunny Crackers, Pacis, and 2 special eggs that contained single Starbursts. They also received an assortment of books, 2 of which I am planning to use for a craft project and 1 of which I will be returning due to an underlying Wiccan theme. I am very upset with Sesame Street right now, that is what I get for not proofreading at the store.
We had a wonderful church service as well full of baptisms and sweet worship to the LORD. I haven't really said much about church lately but we absolutely LOVE our church! I am so thankful that God brought us to this church it has been such a blessing to us and we have grown so much through it. I can say with certainty that it is going to be very hard to move away from this group of believers when the time comes!

Egg Dying with Grammy Hiegel

Kenley was actually very interested in dying eggs. She did crack quite a few but for the most part she did great!

This sequence cracks me up!

Overload

Monday, April 25, 2011

This weekend I discovered my camera's continuous shoot option.
It is awesome! However, I filled an entire 4 GB memory card in less than 2 days.

Yep.. Its a lot to sort through. Hopefully I will have a few Easter weekend pictures up by tomorrow!

Apparently I have quite the green thumb

Check out that temp!

In other news.. I want to move to downtown Snohomish!

A poem written by Keith Hundley of North Carolina

...poetically speaking:
 "Pee potty Hot,
  Pee Potty Cold
  Kenley peed in the Pot
  Two (?) years old!!!!!!!"

Haha! We love you Hundley people!

4 Months Old!

We have made it through to the sleeping through the night era!

Claire is still the happiest little baby. If she is crying it is either because she is wet or hungry, anytime in between that she is cuddly and smiley.

She has started to laugh so much this past week! I love it!! Right now it is a mix of squealing and giggling.

She is just now outgrowing her newborn clothes so I will have to pack them up this week!

People in the grocery store almost always comment on my 'new' baby :)

We are so smitten with our sweet second born!

Auntie is home!

Let it be known!

Mother's Day Part 2
I thought of 2 more Mother's Day wishlist ideas! More Fuzzi Bunz, I am thinking Claire needs a grape, apple green, dreamsicle, watermelon, and blueberry! I also have really been wanting to read Loving the Little Years! Canon Press is actually having a buy 1 get 1 sale on the book right now! Anyone want to go in on that with me?

Mother's Day 2011

Mother's Day 2011
Mother's Day is coming up soon! Not that Brian can't think of good gift ideas on his own, he totally can, but I thought I would still post my two wishlist items anyway! I really want a Phil and Ted's Stroller! I am growing more and more tired of having Kenley in the stroller and Claire in the Bjorn. Even though she is only like 10 pounds she gets heavy fast! I think the Phil and Ted's will work best for us in the long run since it has so many combination capabilities! Thanks to the generous ladies at my baby shower, we will probably be getting one very soon!

I also really want a flip video camera. I hate that we haven't taken many video's of the girls and I think the flip would make it easier and more convenient to take videos of the everyday fun that we have!

What is on your Mother's Day wishlist?

It's here!

I had been wanting a Jo Totes camera bag for so long but they had discontinued the style that I loved. I found one on eBay and started bidding! Then I had a hunch that I could email the seller and see if he would do a buy it now. I am so glad that I did because I got this bag for $40 less than what the auction I bid on ended at!!!

I love this hair!

Kenley's new table

Today

It is so pretty outside today! Hip hip hooray for sunshine!

I don't really have anything of substance to share with you today.

Claire is doing awesome and is consitently sleeping through the night now! (Picture me jumping up and down and screaming that sentence at the top of my lungs)

Kenley loves to be outside. She was playing outside with my Dad yesterday and she did not want to come inside even though her nose was bright red, her fingers were icy cold, and her new flip flops were giving her a blister. Kenley has become a bit of a picky eater as well. Its not that she doesn't like the food its just that she doesn't want to eat it because she is so busy that she doesn't like having to sit still that long. (GRRRR!) Last night we came up with a new method to encourage Kenley to eat. We danced after every bite. I am sure we were quite the sight to see! Kenley loves to dance and I don't think I have ever seen her eat so much dinner before!

I have really been enjoying popped amaranth with chocolate almond milk lately. You should really try it! It tastes mashmallowy!

I am pondering starting my recipe blog back up but instead changing it to a place where I post recipes that I want to try. What do you think?

I want to try this and this and this... The list is quite long actually! :)

I hope you are having a great Tuesday!
