What to do when you are feeling antsy...

When I was younger I used to rearrange my bedroom multiple times a year. I think my bed occupied every possible space that it could have except for my walk in closet, though I had thought about putting it in there and turning the main space of my room into more of a living room. Wouldn't that have been cool? Especially for hanging out with friends and watching The Real World Las Vegas. Hahaha ... Oh high school.... But I digress....

I was feeling the itch to have something in our living space change. I wanted this change to cost $0 which is where the rearranging came in! We live in a very small space and so organization is tricky but super important so I had to get creative... I was never really crazy about the setup in the girls room but at the time it was the best use of the space for what we needed it to accomplish.

Here is the before:

This is me standing in the doorway looking to the left...
 Looking to the right...

This is me standing where the hamper was:

Kenley's bed stayed in the same spot but Claire's crib moved to the wall with the window and the big dresser moved into the closet while the little dresser from the closet moved to where Claire's crib was. Moving the big dresser to the closet means that we no longer have a changing pad in the room. Which is okay because Kenley is out of diapers and Claire will be there really soon! And for now it's not too big of a deal to change her on the ground :)

I also rearranged the contents of the dressers! The big dresser was all of Kenley's clothes, both girls shoes, and all of their socks and random personal care needs like nail clippers and combs. The small dresser held all of CLo's clothes. Now the big dresser has all of Claire's stuff on the left and all of Kenley's stuff on the right.

Now the little dresser's top drawer contains diapers and personal care stuff, the second drawer down is the sock and underwear drawer, and the bottom two drawers contain all the girls shoes.

I also sorted through all of their hung stuff and put away all of their too small clothes.

Grandpa Ronk made Kenley's toddler bed frame and Daddy upholstered it all while CLo was in the NICU. It is just about time for them to get to work again so that Claire and Kenley can have matching toddler beds!! Yay! The room will look even clearer once that big ol' crib is out of there!!

It is definitely the small things that make me happy because now every time I walk into the girls room I am so happy with how much more space it feels like there is in there!

Now I want to try rearranging our bedroom!

Looks great! I am like you. I am constantly feeling the need to rearrange and reorganize, especially the boys' room. I'm going to go with "it's a spiritual gift." :)

I am still forever amused that you found Kenley completely naked stuck under the crib. :) How do these things happen?

And, the room looks awesome!
