Day 18

I am back on the Shred bandwagon! Let me tell ya, it's a doozy! I am in phase 2 right now and it is tough! I am shakin' in my boots at just the thought of moving up to phase 3 in 2 days.

In the beginning, my motivation was that if I made it through all 30 days I could buy myself a new pair of workout shoes (I want a pair of Vibrams) and some exercise clothes. Now that I am over halfway through I am continuing not because of the shoes but because I am loving the results that I am achieving! My arms feel strong and my clothes are fitting so much better!

It really is true that one healthy decision leads to another! Since starting the Shred I have become even more determined to make sure that everything I eat is nourishing for my body! I feel like I have jump started my new healthy active lifestyle and I couldn't be more thrilled!

I highly recommend that you give The 3o Day Shred a shot! It will hurt, but its worth it!

So is this a DVD? Do I need special equipment. I'll give it a try.

Daniel is a walking advertisement for Fivefingers. He wears them all the time. I had a pair too and loved them but I haven't gained all my strength back in my ankle since my bad sprain in the spring this year.
I love the pink pair. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to get used to them before wearing them for a long time. They will kill your calves...

Great job!

Carol- Yes it is a workout DVD. All you need are some weights. I used 3lb weights that I picked up at Target. She does say the a-word once in phase 1 and once in phase 2 so it may not be a DVD to do when the kiddos are around. Just so you know :)

Maryn- I am so glad to know that you guys like them! Kelly (Emma's Mom) has 2 pairs and loves them too!

Simply by stepping on the bands and holding the handles in your hand you can bend that the waist keeping your legs straight and perform good mornings for your lower back or simply bend at the knees for some traditional deadlift exercises. Both provide an excellent core workout.
