how hard it is to find drum lampshades here. Seriously. I have been to target, walmart, ross, marshalls, tj maxx, home depot, and lowes. I still haven't found anything suitable. Any ideas as to other places to look for them?

I make no promises, but try checking Big Lots, they can surprise you sometimes!
Try a fabric store, like Hancock in Greenville.
