We started a new Advent tradition this year.
I ordered this gorgeous wooden Nativity set from Brambleroot Toys on Facebook...
We light a candle for each night of Advent and then read our Advent scripture. Over the course of the month Mary and Joseph make their way to the stable...
Our CC had a Moms Night Out Painting party...
The girls and I did lots of wet-on-wet watercolor painting...
On our craft days we also made ornaments for the playroom tree...
We purchased a live tree from Lowes this year... Every year I kick myself for leaving our artificial tree at my parents. This tree was very full, pretty, and great smelling though!
Decorating the tree with Daddy...
CLo is a night owl. This night is was 11:30 pm and I still couldn't get her to fall asleep so I had her do schoolwork and map tracing!
The best part of weekly watercolor painting is having pretty paper to make crafts with...
More ornament painting...
Lilly Pulitzer has a great Cyber Monday thing where every hour there is a different present with purchase. This year I bought the girls each a planner for Christmas since they loved marking off days in my planner. It is awesome because I got two free Christmas presents for myself out of the deal! It is going to become a tradition...
Last year my mom bought the girls flannel Christmas sheets. This year I sewed red and green duvet covers for them to make their whole bedroom extra Christmassy... (Purchasing the sheets to make these duvet covers, however, was the worst Walmart experience EVER.. EVER.. EVER.)
Our Library had a Santa Christmas thing with Santa pictures, crafts, face painting, and singing by the high school choir...
Daddy and I attended not 1 but 2 baby doll birthday parties... Let me tell you... Kenley is definitely my child with her level of party planning. This picture was taken during "picture time" where we each had our picture taken with the birthday "girl"... That was one of the MANY party activities that we participated in...
Grammy came back into town! She flew into Palm Springs so we met her and Aunt Kris at the Palm Springs mall to see Santa again... Grammy needed a turn...
Then we went back to Aunt Kris and Don's and Claire got to open her birthday presents a little early. Mom and Aunt Kris found this bee phone case for Claire (they momentarily forgot that we don't do screens anymore :) haha!). Claire absolutely LOVES her bee phone. She is still taking pictures of everyone with it all the time. It is hilarious...
We started preparing for Claire's 5th Bee Birthday. It's become a little tradition that the Birthday girl gets to make personalized water bottle wrappers for her guests... :)
